"A valuable book!"
"It's such a great idea to introduce four of the great arias from the Bach Passions by arranging them in this combination. Only one, Ich folge from the St John, is originally for flute and here the long melodic line has been split between the two players making it easier to see the overall structure. The other three offer us the chance to get to to know this fabulous music from the inside. Sensitive arrangements mean that the music looks accessible on the page and the editing has been kept simple. This book is a real treat and you will return to it every Easter time for years!"

"Sparkling music for two flutes and piano"
"Another great edition of a little-known Italian classic. Written in one movement, the variety of the writing expertly holds the interest. There are solos for both flutes, lovely lyrical melodies, dovetailing flutes in thirds and sixths through sparkling runs, a cadenza, a brief unaccompanied passage for flutes alone, and the usual virtuoso build-up to the grand finale. This really is very lovely music!

"Melodie at its best!"
"It is such a treat to find a book for two flutes and piano which has a winning combination of both familiar and less well-known composers. Faure's lovely blockbuster Apres un Reve has the flutes weaving the tune around between them whilst the more enigmatic Soir Paien by Georges Hue allows the atmospheric melodic line to float above a rippling piano accompaniment. Clair de Lune, again by Faure, is the best one to start with as the rhythms, key and range are modest but A Chloris by Reynaldo Hahn needs breath and tonal control to shape the contours effectively. La Nuit by Chausson is low and dark, contrasting with the lightness of Faure's Notre Amour. This is a book which will continually give pleasure over the years and is a gateway to the interpration of the French style. As flute players we certainly all need that!"

"An opera lovers' paradise"
This is a wonderful book! All eight duets are classics that have been sensitively arranged to allow the melodies to take centre stage. Easy keys and a modest note range puts them well within the range of most players with the piano accompaniments of a similar standard. They also work well for two flutes. so the potential for enjoying this music either as someone new to the operatic repertoire or as a seasoned opera buff is huge. This another must buy! Paradise!
